Mortgage Repayment Insurance

Mortgage repayment, or mortgage protection, insurance is designed to pay your mortgage in the event that you are unable to, either through death or disability.

This form of insurance provides certainty and security for you and your family. You can be comfortable in the knowledge that your family home will not be sold from under you if, through death, illness or accident, you are unable to make mortgage repayment.
  • Do you already have an existing home loan?
  • Are you planning to apply for one in the near future?
If you are, then take a few seconds to ask yourself the following important questions:

Question...

Would you have enough money in reserve to meet your home loan repayments if serious illness, disability or  redundancy stopped you from working, either temporarily or permanently?

Question...

If you died, would you leave behind enough resources to pay off your home loan, and safeguard your dependants’ future?

Answer...

If you answered ‘no’ to either of these questions, then you should seriously consider taking out a  Mortgage Protection Plan.

How it can help:

KEEPING A ROOF OVER YOUR HEAD

If, through either illness or accident, you are unable to work, disability cover will make regular mortgage repayments on your behalf.

The amount of Loan Instalment Repayment you have will normally equal the amount of your monthly mortgage repayments.

This benefit will continue for as long as you are totally disabled or until the end of your benefit payment period, whichever is earlier.

If all you want to do is protect your mortgage, this type of cover is ideal.

REDUNDANCY

A redundancy option may be available that pays your mortgage for six months if you are made redundant . This will help remove concerns you may have meeting your financial responsibilities whilst going through this difficult time.
